About Tavener Joinery
Founded in 1846 as part of a Builders/Undertakers Business in St John’s Wood, London, Tavener Joinery was an integral part of the building business C. Tavener & Son Ltd. In the late 19th Century, the business concentrated its efforts on the domestic residential market. In the 1990’s Tavener Joinery became a stand-alone business and continues to operate in this way. Various small works projects were carried out, mainly in the prime residential areas of Hampstead and the West End of London, as well as larger projects including the rebuilding of part of the Wallace Collection in Manchester Square, London, and the reconstruction of the Adelphi Arches in the Strand.
